WHY MAUBILA SCOUT RESERVATION
We know that there are many choices out there when it comes to choosing which camp to attend in the summer. Rest assured that the Maubila Scout Reservation is always a good choice for your troop. Maubila is your hometown camp with a family feel. We are expanding our program offerings and improving the camping facilities. This summer there will be more merit badges, better evening programs, more dining hall fun, and as always a friendly, trained staff ready to meet the needs of your troop.
Reasons to Camp at Camp Maubila:
- Close to home
- Dollar for dollar value for your money
- Flexible Staff
- Tradition
- A Great place to grow up in Scout Camping
At Maubila we know that every aspect of the camp is important so we don't overlook the little things. The staff takes the time to setup your tents, remove the trash from your campsite, and don't forget the first-class leaders' luncheon on Thursday. Also, the merit badge instruction comes from experienced Scouts and Scouters who are knowledgeable in the field they are instructing.
We understand that as a leader you are also a person with a job and when you come to camp it is your vacation. That is why we try to comfort you during your stay. There is an air conditioned Scoutmaster's Lounge, ample supply of coffee, and we don't go overboard with unnecessary meetings or early wake-ups. Don’t forget that your first 2 leaders are free to attend as a guest of the camp. Additional leaders are free depending on the number of Scouts you bring to camp, check the Leader’s Guide.
I know in the past you have seen Maubila as a camp that was catered to the younger Scouts. That is true that we take care of the first year Scouts but we don’t forget about the older ones. This year will provide many additional badges geared toward the 3rd year Scouts and above.
Don’t forget Camp Maubila is the only camp in the country where you can find the Maubila Marathon, Maubila Madness, and countless other cool Maubila adventures.
